City Library Backers Set Final Book Sale
After years of selling books to support the city library on Chrisanta Drive, the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library will have one last sale Saturday before a new facility opens next month.
The sale will take place in the parking lot of Union Bank at La Paz Road and Marguerite Parkway--across from where workers are putting the finishing touches on the 25,000-square-foot library.
The new library is scheduled to open Oct. 25.
Book sales will start at 10 a.m. Those who sign up as members of the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library can come an hour earlier.
The sale will close out the support group’s collection of books at the old library, which will close its doors for good Sept. 30.
Information: (714) 830-9366.
