Police identified the body of a man dumped along the side of the Garden Grove Freeway but said Wednesday they were still not sure where he lived.
The body of Steven Preston, 32, was discovered by a motorist who stopped to examine a floor jack left on the shoulder of the road. Preston’s body was about 20 feet down an embankment on the north side of the freeway near the Knott Avenue exit, police said.
He had been killed by a blow to the head, investigators said.
Preston’s belongings gave two addresses for him, including one in Garden Grove and one in Huntington Beach.
Detectives ask that anyone with information about the case call Westminster police at (714) 898-3315, Ext. 421.
