Retired Major Heads Army Ranger Region

The U.S. Army Ranger Assn. has named Tustin resident Gerry Rush as commander of Ranger Region Red, which includes the Western United States, Alaska and Hawaii.
Rush, a retired major who fought in the Korean War, was formerly the Ranger commander for Southern California.
His new assignment will be to locate Rangers and form bases throughout the region.
