THOUSAND OAKS — Expect at least 30 arrests at The Oaks mall Thursday as the Conejo Valley Days grand marshal race heats up.
Candidates for the honorary position, who compete by raising money for charity, will jail supporters in the mall’s center court, freeing them only if they raise enough money to make bail.
The candidates are “Ropin’ Reverend” Larry Wagner and five 12-year-old girls competing collectively as “the Animal Crackers.”
This is the second year The Oaks mall has hosted the “Jail and Bail” event. The arrests will take place between 3 and 7:30 p.m.
