Soccer Coach Steps Down at Los Alamitos

Rich Manning, the girls’ soccer coach at Los Alamitos, has announced he will be leaving to take the assistant coaching job for Long Beach State’s women’s soccer team.
Manning, who coached the Griffins for four years, led the team to a Southern Section Division I title, two Sunset League titles and a 37-12-5 overall record.
He was also named Times Orange County Coach of the Year in 1997. Manning will continue teaching math at Los Alamitos, as well as coaching his So Cal Blues Club team.
