First American Unit Acquires Title Company

First American Financial Corp., which provides real estate-related financial and information services, said Friday that one of its subsidiaries has acquired a title company in Hanford, the third transaction this week. Kings County Title Co. was acquired by First American Title Insurance Co., a unit of Santa Ana-based First American Financial. Terms were not disclosed. Kings owner David Garske will continue to manage the company, which will operate as First American Title Co. Earlier this week, First American Financial acquired S.D. Technologies Inc. of Carlsbad and ShadowNet Mortgage Technologies LLC, a Colorado provider of real estate-related software programs.
