Tree-Lighting Ceremony Tonight at Lopez Adobe
- Share via
The city’s first tree-lighting ceremony will take place at the Casa Lopez Adobe tonight.
In memory of longtime curator Carolyn Riggs, who died last summer, a tree was planted at the adobe as she had wished.
The Carolyn Riggs Tree-Lighting Ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. at the adobe, 1100 Pico St. at Maclay Avenue. This year, the Whitechapel Bell Carolers and the youth choir from St. Ferdinand School in San Fernando will perform.
Visitors are invited to sing along with the Dickens Christmas Carolers, who will also entertain the crowd.
For information, call the San Fernando Department of Recreation and Community Services, sponsor of the free event, at (818) 898-1290.
