City Moves Ahead on Police, Library Project

City officials have begun the second phase of a project to build a new library and police station in the next four years.
The first phase analyzed how much space was needed for the new facilities. Now consultants will help officials estimate the cost, look for potential sites and consider different architectural styles.
The new police station will be nearly three times larger than the present station, and the new library will be 60% larger.
