Pacific guard Clay McKnight, who also played at Mater Dei and UC Irvine, will undergo shoulder surgery after the season, school officials said Wednesday.
McKnight, a 6-foot-2 sophomore, has separated his left shoulder twice in practices this season. He will finish the season, but wear a shoulder harness.
He is averaging 3.1 points in 15 games this season. All 15 of his field goals are three-pointers.
McKnight helped Mater Dei win the state Division I title in 1995. He played his freshman year at Irvine, then sat out last year before transferring to Pacific.
