Concert to Benefit John Wayne Center

Natalie Cole and Tipper Gore will be honored at a patriotic concert benefiting the John Wayne Cancer Institute Chapter II.
The charity event will take place at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, Thousand Oaks. The evening will include tributes to Cole, who will attend the event, and Gore, who will accept her award via videotape, as well as a performance of Americana pops conducted by Sheldon Cohen, former assistant conductor for “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson,” the New Horizon Singers and members of the New West Symphony.
Tickets ($25 to $75) may be purchased from the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza box office, TicketMaster, John Wayne Cancer Institute or at the door.
