Boy Dies After Being Shot in Head

A boy shot in the head during what police believe was a gang-related dispute died from his injuries Wednesday, police said.
Tho Minh Nguyen, 13, of Santa Ana was declared dead at UCI Medical Center in Orange at 11:20 a.m., Westminster Police Det. Terry Selinske said.
Nguyen, who police believe was not a gang member, was a passenger in a car during a confrontation Tuesday about 10:50 p.m. with someone in a dark compact car near Hoover Street and Baylor Drive, Selinske said.
During the dispute, a gunman shot several times at the car Nguyen was riding in, hitting the boy once in the head.
Nguyen suffered a traumatic brain injury and was kept on life supports until Wednesday, Selinske said.
No one else was injured, and no suspects have been arrested, authorities said.
