Free Medical Tests to Be Offered at Health Fair

Free medical screening tests will be offered at a health fair being held today at the Oakwood Recreation Center.
Medical professionals will offer blood pressure testing, diabetes screening, mammograms, body fat analysis, HIV testing, sight and hearing tests, chiropractic analysis, immunizations, osteoporosis testing and more, said Mindy Meyer of Village of Venice, a community organization.
The Venice Family Clinic, the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, Village of Venice and the city Department of Recreation and Parks will sponsor the fair, which will also feature games for children and door prizes.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Oakwood Recreation Center, 767 California Ave.
