Surf Festival to Be Held This Weekend

The 36th annual International Surf Festival will be held this weekend in Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach.
The free festival, which features surfing, volleyball and sand castle contests, is sponsored by the Beach Cities Health District and the Southern California Ford Dealers Assn. The first event is a surfing contest, starting at 6:30 a.m. Saturday at the Manhattan Beach Pier. The last event, a youth swim, begins at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Hermosa Beach Pier.
