Costa Mesa’s White Cap Expands

White Cap Industries, Costa Mesa-based provider of tools and materials for professional contractors, said it has completed its acquisitions of Charles R. Watts Co. and NYCO Inc.
Watts, with $8 million in 1997 revenues, supplies heavy-construction contractors, White Cap said. NYCO, with $16 million in 1997 revenues, distributes concrete accessories, construction chemicals, waterproofing products and rental equipment.
White Cap’s earnings from operations were $2.83 million, or 57 cents a share, on sales of $186.7 million in the fiscal year ended March 31.
