Litton Industries Wins Naval Systems Contract

Litton Industries has been awarded a $138.6-million contract by the U.S. Navy’s Sea Systems Command.
The five-year contract calls for the manufacture and design of equipment for engineering control systems and bridge systems to be installed on Navy cruisers. The contract calls for four systems, but there are options for 22 more systems. The work on the contract is expected to be completed by December 2003.
Work on this Navy project will be done in Northridge; San Diego; Charlottesville, Va.; and Pascagoula, Miss.
Litton Industries, headquartered in Woodland Hills, is a major defense contractor.
