Boy Hospitalized After He’s Hit by Car

An 11-year-old boy was injured Thursday afternoon when he darted into traffic in Buena Park and was hit by a car, police said.
The youth was with an adult waiting to cross Beach Boulevard at Craig Avenue when he ran into the road, crossing from west to east, Police Lt. Mac McNeely said. He was struck by a southbound 1983 Cadillac Fleetwood, police said.
The youth was flown to UCI Medical Center in Orange, McNeely said. The driver was not cited.
The child’s parents asked that information on his condition not be released, authorities said.
