A Case in Point to Lawyerly Logic
* More and more basic principles are being stood on their head. I am especially bewildered by a quote in the June 6 article, “Man Faces Life Term in Murder by Mistake.”
The defendant’s lawyer said, “It’s a lot harder to defend somebody who you think is innocent. That’s why this job is so tough sometimes.”
The ways of lawyers are mysterious indeed. Have their contortions reached the point where it is easier to defend someone they think is guilty?
