New Catheter Approved

Micro Therapeutics Inc. said Thursday that its Easy Rider micro-catheter for neurovascular applications has been cleared for marketing by the Food and Drug Administration.
The San Clemente medical-device maker said the catheter is used over a guide wire that facilitates catheter positioning in the tiny, remote blood vessels of the brain. The device is already approved for sale in Australia.
