Lawyer to Drop Kevorkian as Client

One of Dr. Jack Kevorkian’s lawyers wants to stop representing the assisted suicide advocate, saying Kevorkian went too far with his plan to donate kidneys from a man who committed suicide with his help. Michael Odette said he supports the Detroit-area doctor’s work but plans to file a motion in District Court removing himself from Kevorkian’s defense team at an upcoming trial. Kevorkian, 70, and an associate face trial July 9.
