Conejo Valley Home Sales Increase

There were 435 single-family homes sold in the Conejo Valley in May, compared to 360 in April and 302 a year earlier, according to the Conejo Valley Assn. of Realtors.
The median sale price for single-family homes sold in May was $275,666, up from the May 1997 figure of $266,392. The median price is the point where half the units sold for more and half for less.
The median price breakdown in May was $175,000 for 30 homes with up to two bedrooms; $225,470 for 160 three-bedroom homes; and $339,285 for 245 homes with four or more bedrooms. Last year, the figures were $165,000 for 15 two-bedroom homes, $219,696 for 104 three-bedroom homes, and $301,162 for 183 houses with four or more bedrooms.
There were 104 condominiums sold in the Conejo Valley in May, compared to 111 in April and 103 a year earlier.
Total sales for all real estate transactions in April were $282.6 million. A year earlier the total was $113.2 million.
