* Division I finals at Long Beach Belmont Plaza pool, 6:30 p.m. Friday: Mission Viejo will be looking to win its 20th Southern Section boys’ title. Irvine, Foothill and Santa Margarita are looking to be spoilers. In girls’ competition, Irvine is expected to win. Marina, Ventura Buena, Fountain Valley and Mission Viejo are expected to battle for second place. Olympian Amanda Beard will attempt to defend her title in the 100-yard breaststroke. Preliminaries start at 11:15 today.

* Division II finals at Long Beach Belmont Plaza pool, 7 p.m. Saturday: Sophomore Shauna Barnard, freshman Lindsay Buck and senior Steve Poling lead Laguna Hills, which has a good chance to win the boys’ and girls’ titles. Preliminaries are at 5 p.m. today.
