The Department of Veterans Affairs will hold a symposium today to advise former prisoners of war on their compensation rights.
Many former POWs are unaware that they qualify for benefits for more than 20 medical and mental health ailments, said VA spokesman Doug Constant.
A panel of medical physicians, psychiatrists and psychologists will be on hand to examine and process claims of veterans.
The meeting will start with breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. at the VA Medical Center, 11301 Wilshire Blvd.
