* MIKE BIBBY, Arizona--6-2, 190, sophomore guard. Helped Wildcats win NCAA championship in 1997. Averaged 17.2 points and 5.7 assists last season.
* VINCE CARTER, North Carolina--6-7, 215, junior guard-forward. Ranked 18th nationally in field-goal percentage (.591). Averaged 15.6 points and 5.1 rebounds last season.
* ANTAWN JAMISON, North Carolina--6-9, 223 junior forward. 1998 Atlantic Coast Conference player of the year. Averaged 22.2 points and 10.5 rebounds last season, the first Tar Heel to average at least 20 points and 10 rebounds since Billy Cunningham in 1964-65.
* RAEF LaFRENTZ, Kansas--6-11, 235, senior forward. Last season, missed nine games because of a broken right hand. Averaged 19.8 points and 11.4 rebounds (third in nation). Ranks second in Jayhawk history in points and rebounds, trailing Danny Manning.
* MICHAEL OLOWOKANDI, Pacific--7-1, 265, senior center. Averaged 22.2 points, 11.2 rebounds and 2.9 blocked shots last season.
* PAUL PIERCE, Kansas--6-7, 220, junior forward. Averaged 20.5 points and 6.7 rebounds last season.
