What’s happening in the next few weeks:

* The San Francisco Opera brings to the stage three of the most alluring and scandalous women in opera--Poppea, Lulu and Carmen--for a Femmes Fatales Festival, June 6-July 2, with performances of Monteverdi’s “L’Incoronazione di Poppea,” Berg’s “Lulu” and Bizet’s “Carmen.” At right: Ruxandra Donose sings Poppea. * Continuing through Sept. 6 at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art: “Keith Haring.” This retrospective brings together more than 100 works, including the artist’s large paintings and early drawings. 151 3rd St. (415) 357-4000.

* The San Francisco Symphony explores the music of Gustav Mahler in a 10-concert festival, “A Mahler Celebration,” June 11-28. A free Mahler symposium will open the festival, and Mahler biographer Henry-Louis de La Grange will give talks prior to each of the festival’s concerts.
