Brady Is Sworn In as Foglietta’s Successor

Bob Brady, a union carpenter in his 12th year as Philadelphia’s Democratic chairman, was sworn in as the newest member of the U.S. House. Brady won a special election for a seat that nine-term Democrat Thomas M. Foglietta vacated in November to become U.S. ambassador to Italy.
