Softball Win Was Sweet for North Hollywood

Despite qualifying for the City Section softball playoffs, perhaps the most satisfying time of the season for North Hollywood High was a 3-0 victory over Grant to end the regular season and give the Huskies a co-championship in the East Valley League.
The Huskies proved they could beat Grant on the field after being awarded a forfeit one week earlier when Lancer Coach Devin Ellison was ejected.
The game also showcased the speed and acrobatics of junior center fielder Tashean Thomas, a basketball standout who showed similar prowess on the softball field with a triple and several spectacular catches.
