The Cooper Cos. Inc.: The Irvine-based developer and manufacturer of specialty health care products and services posted a 57% gain in net income for the second fiscal quarter on a 54% increase in revenue.
The company earned $8.5 million, or 55 cents a share, for the three months ended April 30, up from $5.4 million, or 44 cents a share, for the like period a year ago. Revenue climbed to $51.8 million from $33.7 million. First-half net income totaled $14.5 million, or 94 cents a share, a gain of 67% from $8.7 million, or 72 cents a share, for the first six months of the prior fiscal year. Revenue was up 53% to $94.6 million from $62 million.
