John Werhas, senior pastor of Friends Christian Church in Yorba Linda, will be the keynote speaker at the city’s second annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast, Tustin Community Foundation members said recently. Friday’s breakfast starts at 7 a.m. at the Tustin Area Senior Center, 200 S. C St.
Werhas played baseball and basketball at USC. He went on to play for the Los Angeles Dodgers, California Angels and San Diego Padres before developing a full-time ministry with his wife, Kay, in 1974.
