Servite Attacks Corona del Mar From Every Angle in 26-0 Win

Combining a successful running and passing game with a tight defense, Servite had little trouble shutting out Corona del Mar, 26-0, in the first round of the Southern Section Division VI playoffs Friday night at Cal State Fullerton.
Servite (6-5) plays Villa Park, a 41-14 winner over El Dorado, in the second round.
Tyrone Gribben started Servite’s scoring with a three-yard run in the first quarter. Gribben gained 87 yards in 15 carries and scored two touchdowns.
Jacob Moreno and Matt Gogan scored on 6- and 11-yard passes from Dan Petropulos in the second quarter.
Petropulos completed eight of 15 for 106 yards to lead Servite (6-5).
Gribben capped the scoring on a three-yard run in the fourth.
Corona del Mar, which earned an at-large berth, finishes 6-5.
