Female Comics to Unite for Series of Benefits

Female comedians, including Wendy Liebman, Rhonda Shear, Judy Gold, Mary Ellen Hooper, Stephanie Hodge and Rene Hicks, will take part in “Heidi Joyce’s Stand Up Against Domestic Violence,” a series of four performances at North Hollywood’s Bitter Truth performance space, 11050 Magnolia Blvd.
The shows--every Sunday in October at 2 p.m.--are mounted by the Theater of Hope for Abused Women and benefit the nonprofit group’s Safe Harbor programs.
