British Airways’ new low-cost European airline, Go, plans to double its work force and triple capacity amid booming demand for no-frills travel. Four-month-old Go said it will add 200 jobs and lease eight Boeing 737-300 planes from GE Capital Aviation Services during the next 15 months, bringing its fleet to 13 planes. Barbara Cassani, chief executive of Go, said the airline plans to “break even and move into profit by year three.” Europe’s air markets were deregulated last year. The low-cost market in Europe has doubled since 1996 and now carries about 8 million passengers a year, generating $700 million. Go flies from London to Rome, Milan and Bologna in Italy; Edinburgh, Scotland; Copenhagen and Lisbon.
