Review as Fiction?

I think that Kevin Thomas has found his niche in writing fiction. His movie review of “Knock Off” could not be anything else (“ ‘Knock Off’ Is the Real Thing: Fast, Funny,” Sept. 7). He states that the movie is, “light and funny and not top-heavy with special effects and epic-scale destruction.”
The version my wife and I saw was nothing but special effects, over the top, and about as funny as chewing gum on the seat. Rather than Jean-Claude Van Damme’s “best,” this has to be his worst.
