Tips on how to become a better manager will be offered at The Times’ Small Business Strategies Conference next weekend at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Four workshops and one panel discussion will cover topics such as learning to brainstorm with employees to create business strategies, honing leadership skills, and staying productive in a world in which there’s too much to do.
Other management topics include strategies for self-promotion and tips on getting the best employees and independent contractors for your business.
The event will offer more than 40 panel discussions in six subject tracks: technology, finance, managing growth, managing people, advertising and marketing, and entrepreneurship.
There will also be an exhibit hall, networking opportunities and free advice sessions.
Registration is $99 for both days and $70 for one day. For more information, call (800) 350-3211, or visit the conference Web site at http://cache.nohib.com./sbsc.
