Trabuco Hills Tops Dana Hills, 24-7

Trabuco Hills used a punt return and a fake field-goal attempt to propel it past Dana Hills, 24-7, in a South Coast League game at Dana Hills High Friday night.
Chad Pieroni gave the Mustangs (5-1, 1-0) a 7-0 lead when he raced a punt back 67 yards in the second quarter.
In the third quarter, Trabuco Hills extended its lead to 10-0 on a 37-yard field goal by Jay Arnston. Dana Hills (3-3, 0-1) cut it to 10-7 on a one-yard touchdown dive by Jeremy Walker.
The Mustangs put it away in the fourth when Al Gandall caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Arnston on the fake field-goal attempt. Gandall would score again on a nine-yard run later in the quarter.
Gandall rushed for 115 yards in 27 carries.
