Medical Centers Offer Flu Shots for Seniors

Western Medical Centers are offering additional flu-shot days for those 55 and older.

Injections will be administered at the Tustin Area Senior Center, at 200 S. C St., from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday. Western Medical Center-Anaheim, at 1025 S. Anaheim Blvd., will offer injections from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 5.

Senior citizens are advised to get the shots because they are at high risk of flu complications such as severe pneumonia, kidney failure and heart failure.

Those who have had a recent illness, have a neurological problem or are allergic to eggs or gentamicin should consult their physician. Registration is necessary at (800) 953-3627.
