Health and Safety Fair to Offer Free Medical Tests

Barnes Park will host a health and safety fair Saturday, offering free medical services by volunteer doctors and nurses.
Among the free services will be eye and dental exams, diabetes tests, breast exams, pulmonary screening, osteoporosis screenings and cholesterol testing. Free mammograms are available for women 40 and older. Flu shots will be given to people 60 and older.
The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 350 S. McPherrin Ave. It is sponsored by the city of Monterey Park, five local hospitals, community groups and service clubs.
