7:30 TONIGHT IRVINE HIGH
Newport Harbor’s loss to Corona del Mar and Woodbridge’s tie with Irvine has made a wide open Sea View League race even more so. Warrior Coach Rick Gibson believes both teams “will play with a sense of desperation” because neither can afford a loss tonight and still win the league title. Sailor quarterback Steve Gorman has to forget about the interception that turned the game for Corona del Mar and remember he has 15 touchdown passes, second most in the county. Scott Barlow, with 13 touchdowns against two interceptions, is a having a solid season for Woodbridge.
