Hasek’s Shutout Only Good for Tie

The New York Rangers are still coming up empty against Dominik Hasek. But at least they came close on Tuesday night at New York.
For the fourth consecutive time, the Rangers were shut out by the Buffalo Sabre goaltender. However, they came away with a 0-0 tie at New York thanks to the superb play of goalie Mike Richter, who made 24 saves.
Hasek was lucky this time as three Ranger shots hit the goal posts. Haske made 16 saves and earned the 35th shutout of his career.
Nashville 5, Vancouver 4--Sergei Krivokrasov scored his second goal of the game with 1:26 to play at Nashville as the Predators ended a four-game losing streak.
Philadelphia 2, St. Louis 1--Colin Forbes deflected a nonchalant shot by Dan McGillis 28 seconds into the second period for the decisive goal, and John Vanbiesbrouck made 30 saves for the Flyers at Philadelphia.
