Autopsy Inconclusive on Death of Man, 73

A preliminary autopsy failed to determine the cause of death for a 73-year-old man who fell into a swimming pool earlier this week, officials said Thursday.
Alden Mowry was sitting in a chair near his swimming pool Wednesday afternoon in the 11000 block of Saratoga Avenue when his chair broke and he fell into the pool, police said.
Coroner’s investigators said Mowry could have died of a heart attack because he had an enlarged heart and clogged arteries.
A toxicology test could determine the cause of death in a few weeks.
“It’s likely to turn out to be natural death,” supervising deputy coroner Bill King said.
“He had cardiac problems.”
