Child Identification Program Scheduled

As part of a nationwide effort to provide parents with a safety identification kit in the event their child is ever missing, an area business will be sponsoring a Project KidCare Photo ID and Fingerprinting event.
Beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Simi Valley Days Car Show to be held in the Micom Corp. parking lot, 4100 Los Angeles Ave., parents can obtain free photographs of their children for their identification booklets.
With more than 1 million children reported missing each year, Project KidCare is aimed at raising awareness about child safety and provide law enforcement authorities with the information they need to aid in their search.
The event is being sponsored by America’s Tire Co. of Westlake Village. For information on the event, call Nancy Love at 373-5509.
