CAMARILLO — An In-N-Out Burger was robbed Wednesday night by a man who walked up to the restaurant’s drive-through window and pointed a handgun at a cashier, authorities said.
The burger restaurant at 1316 Ventura Blvd. had customers in its parking lot and lobby when it was robbed about 7:25 p.m., according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
Officials said the robber ran east toward Lewis Road holding a sack of cash.
No one was injured and the robber, described as a Latino male in his 30s with a goatee, remained at large Wednesday night, Sgt. Rick Barber said.
An air and ground search resulted in one man being detained a few blocks away at Ventura Avenue and Granada Street. The man was released after restaurant employees said they could not identify him as the robber, Barber said.
