Ryan Wyman of Hart High shot a three-over-par 75 to defeat J.T. Kohut of Westlake and help the Indians to a pair of victories Monday in a nonleague golf match at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village.
Hart (22-1-1) had a 407 total, followed by Westlake (11-5) with 416 and Simi Valley (10-2) with 422.
Wyman’s score gave him medalist honors, one stroke ahead of Kohut and two ahead of Jeff Siembieda of Hart.
Sophomore Mark Modglin of Simi Valley was the only other player to break 80 with a 79.
“The golf course won today,” Hart Coach Dennis Ford said. “Part of the problem was [that Wyman] was the only player on [our] team who had played the course before.”
Junior Davis Sullivan, sophomore Andy Smith and junior Josh Edwards each shot 85 to round out the scoring for Hart, which has 18 consecutive victories following a loss to San Marcos and a tie to Palm Desert in the third match of the season.
Sophomore Lee Krieger was Westlake’s No. 2 player with an 81.
Sophomore Allen Johnson shot an 81 for Simi Valley.
