Decades of tradition will be celebrated Sunday during Santa Clara High School’s yearly fiesta in Oxnard.
The 29th annual event will begin at 11 a.m. at the school campus, 2121 Saviers Road.
Parents, alumni and supporters of the private Catholic school will provide a smorgasbord of ethnic foods, along with bingo and carnival games, plant and craft sales, children’s rides, arts and crafts, and a bargain auction, said Principal Keith Murphy.
Proceeds from the fiesta and a benefit drawing will be used to help cover the school’s operational costs, Murphy said.
Founded in 1901, the school receives no tax support. It relies on tuition, fund-raisers and donations, Murphy said.
Admission to the fiesta is free, and parking will be available in the school lots and on athletic fields. For more information, call the school office at 483-9502.
