The Marines at Camp Pendleton will be making a beach landing today at 11 a.m. along Interstate 5; the exercise is part of extensive training taking place through Saturday. Commuters may see or hear explosions and fast-moving aircraft near the Las Plugas Road exit. Marine officials ask for safety reasons that spectators stop only at the Aliso Creek rest area or other established scenic viewpoints. Information: (760) 725-5043.
