Pilot Killed in Crash Near Tejon Pass

GORMAN — The pilot of a single-engine plane was killed Thursday after crashing into a rugged hillside near Tejon Pass, authorities said.
The Cessna 150 went down about 5 p.m. near the 41400 block of Tejon Pass Road, east of Interstate 5 near Peace Valley Road, according to Deputy Steven Flynn of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
No other injuries were reported in the accident, which occurred shortly after the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for the passes and canyons in the Los Angeles County area, authorities said.
The identity of the pilot was not immediately released pending notification of family. The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.
