Mayor Bob Bell and Charlotte Cleary, a delegate to the California Republican Party, recently announced their plans to marry on Nov. 27. Cleary said the two have known each other for about 25 years. Both are widowed.
Cleary has lived in the city for 30 years and is a past president of the Orange County Fair Board, charter member of the Women’s League, vice president of the Friends of the Villa Park Library and president of the deaconess board at Covenant Presbyterian Church, where the wedding will be held. Bell, who was named mayor in November, is a 27-year resident of Villa Park.
