Hillary Clinton Hires Senate Campaign Manager

ALBANY, N.Y. — Hillary Rodham Clinton on Friday hired a New York political operative to manage her Senate campaign.
Bill de Blasio has been regional director of the New York-New Jersey office of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the last two years. He is a political ally of HUD Secretary Andrew Cuomo, son of former New York Gov. Mario M. Cuomo.
Plagued by a series of missteps that highlighted her status as a novice candidate, Mrs. Clinton had been under pressure to cut back on her duties as first lady, name a New York-based campaign manager and move into the state, all of which she has said she will do.
