Dergan’s Two Goals Assist Victory for Rio Mesa

Natalya Dergan had two goals and an assist as Rio Mesa scored three goals in the second half to beat Hueneme, 5-3, during a Mountain View league match Tuesday at Rio Mesa.
Dergan finished off a breakaway for her first goal, and scored off of a cross for her second goal.
Wendy Gibeaut contributed two goals for Rio Mesa (4-2-1, 1-0-1), one of which Dergan assisted on.
Buena 6, Camarillo 2--Megan Kelley and Natalie Sanderson each scored two goals and Lisa Engel had two assists for the Bulldogs at Buena.
Reseda 4, North Hollywood 0--Erika Martinez and Mayra Lopez each scored two goals and Angie Tihuila had two assists for the Regents (3-0) at Reseda.
Antelope Valley 2, Rosamond 1--Veronica Aranzubia scored on a free kick in the first minute and added an assist on Marissa Webb’s second-half goal for the Antelopes (3-0-1) at Rosamond.
Quartz Hill 2, Paraclete 0--Shannon Murray and Kellie Cox scored on assists by Laura Weiss for the Rebels (5-0) at Quartz Hill.
Oxnard 1, Channel Islands 0--Ruth Valenzuela scored her second goal of the season on an assist from Monica Mendoza in the Pacific View League game.
Note: Harvard-Westlake, ranked No. 1 in the region by The Times, and No. 4 Hart played a scrimmage instead of their schedule game Tuesday because the officials failed to show up at Hart. Harvard-Westlake won the scrimmage, 3-2.
BOYS’ GAMES
Sylmar 2, Poly 2--Luis Garcia’s penalty kick in the 60th minute gave the host Parrots a tie.
Jose Carcamo scored twice for Sylmar (1-3-2), but had a penalty kick stopped in the 55th minute.
Juan Rodriguez scored for Poly (0-2-1) on a penalty kick.
Santa Paula 5, St. Bonaventure 0--Zavier Ramirez scored the last two goals and the Cardinals scored four goals in the second half at Santa Paula.
Jose Baez and Jeremy Jimenez combined for Santa Paula’s (5-1) first shutout of the season.
Calabasas 6, Canyon 0--Itzik Rapaport had three goals to for the Coyotes (9-0-1) at Calabasas.
