The City Council approved $171,000 in additional design fees for the $22-million community center and sports park scheduled to open in July 2000. The additional fees will pay for the redesign of the 40,000-square-foot community center, which originally included plans for a library. The center will have a multipurpose room with a stage, parks and recreation offices and a learning center. Information: (949) 707-2600.
