Oil Refinery Blast Leaves Three Dead

Three men working on a tank at an oil refinery in Smackover, Ark., were killed in an explosion that was heard for miles. The contract employees were working on a naphtha tank valve at the Cross Oil Refinery, said State Police Capt. Larry Gleghorn. Naphtha is a colorless, volatile petroleum distillate, usually an intermediate product between gasoline and benzine.
